Who is Awan?
The Angel Without A Name
Carl's First Encounter with Awan
It was a cold winter’s day, in March of 1978. Rev. Carl Hewitt had just returned from officiating the funeral of his mentor, Rev. Belding Bingham of Worcester, Massachusetts. “Bing” was not only a close personal friend of Carl’s, but was instrumental in convincing Carl to become an ordained minister.
Carl removed and hung up his overcoat and suit jacket, and immediately loosened his necktie. Extremely depressed, and on the verge of tears, Carl entered his office/reading room, without bothering to turn on the lights, and sat behind his desk. This was the sixth of his mediumistic friends who had suddenly died. Carl had been extremely fortunate that his doctor understood mediumship, and warned him not to do too much work at one time. Mediumship is very taxing on the body’s energy. If mediums do too many readings, they can deplete their energy, below the point that their bodies can replenish it. Unfortunately, not all mediums realize this important fact, which accounted for these pre-mature deaths.
Nevertheless, fear enshrouded Carl as he wondered if being the instrument between the two dimensions would shorten his life. An overwhelming sense of loneliness encompassed him, as this thought flashed through his mind. “For nearly thirty years, I have channeled spiritual guidance to thousands of people. Now that I could use some help from the Spirit World, it seems that no one is around!”
Suddenly, a glowing, golden light formed in the middle of Carl’s darkened office. It was as if a gigantic three-dimensional iridescent Polaroid picture were forming. About a minute later, there stood a seven-foot entity, whose intriguing appearance was unique. His long metallic silver hair seemed to glow. He stared at Carl with his piercing topaz eyes; yet, no emotion appeared on his copper skinned face. Carl had never seen anyone like him, and the vibration emanating from him was so extraordinary, it caused Carl to think of the Mount of Transfiguration [Luke 9:23-36] and of only one person.
“This must be Jesus,” Carl said to himself. “Who are you?” Carl managed to say aloud.
The entity did not respond, did not even blink an eye. After a pause, which seemed like an eternity, Carl thought, “Perhaps he doesn’t understand English.“
Suddenly the entity spoke, “I am not the one you think I am.”
“Who are you?” Carl replied.
The entity responded, “I will not tell you my true identity. Whenever someone in your dimension talks to someone from my world, you create a new religion. Your world has over 12,000 religions, which is more than enough. I will not contribute to the creation of another. However, I realize it would be difficult for you if I were to remain nameless. Therefore, you may call me the “Angel Without A Name.” In your alphabet use the first letter of each word. A-W-A-N, and call me Awan.
“I have come to your planet to wage war on Fear, Ignorance, and Superstition. Your world is in chaos. For millenniums you have been disconnected from the true God. I have come here to use you as my messenger. I will teach you much ancient knowledge, which certain tyrants who wished to rule your planet destroyed. I will eventually ask you to become my medium. I will take over your body, after you go into trance. I will speak to one of your students, the one who is Hebrew. He is to take my teachings, and write them down in books. They are to be shared with people in your world who are starving for truth.”
This concluded Rev. Hewitt’s first encounter with the Angel Without A Name. Awan spent several years teaching Carl ancient wisdom, which had long been silenced. Then one day Awan told Carl, that it was time to have me come to his office.
Sidney's First Encounter with Awan
Awan: My blessings to you. Are you able to hear my voice clearly?
Sidney: Yes, I can, very clearly in fact.
Awan: I‘m glad since this is my first attempt to use this medium. I have called you here, young man, to talk with you. However, before I get to the main part of my discussion, I need to make something perfectly clear to you.
I am an unknown friend. Because of past experiences, I have decided to keep my identity to myself. In the past, after humans have spoken with angels, they have put us on a pedestal, turned us into minor deities, then bombarded us with prayers and wishes to be fulfilled. I do not desire to be worshiped, nor do I wish to be at anyone’s beck and call. Neither do I wish to be the inspiration for the start of another religion. There are already more than twelve thousand different religions in existence.
Awan: Let me tell you more about myself. I realize that for me to remain nameless would be difficult for you. Humans are addicted to labeling and categorizing everything. Once it is labeled, it is judged. Very few people consider how limited their point of view may be, and that this process of labeling and judging truly limits the possibilities in their lives. To make it easier for you, you may address me as AWAN — Angel Without A Name.” Awan will be your name for me, yet I am still nameless to you.
Sidney: What just happened, Awan? I’ve never experienced this with any other Spirit who spoke through the medium. Quite frankly, you’re making me nervous.
Awan: You wanted proof that I’m an angel. I allowed you to feel my vibration. You experienced a little of my energy, my brother, but do not be afraid. I will not harm you. Perhaps now you can accept that I am an angel.
Sidney: I certainly can. Where do you come from?
Awan: That’s a simple question, yet it will take a lengthy explanation. I come from a marvelous world only a breath away from you – but I might as well be light years away.
Sidney: Awan, I’m confused. Don’t angels live in Heaven?
Awan: What is your concept of Heaven?
Sidney: Heaven is where we go after we die, if we’ve lived a good and righteous life. It’s where God lives. And it’s the place where angels live, too.
Awan: Have you ever studied the teachings of Jesus?
Sidney: No, Awan, I have never read the New Testament.
Awan: You should read The New Testament, for Jesus revealed a wondrous truth, one that the churches choose to ignore. Jesus taught, “Behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”
[Awan was quoting Luke 17:21.]
Sidney: Awan, you come from the kingdom of God, isn’t that correct?
Awan: Yes, I do.
Sidney: If the kingdom of God is within me, how can I hear your voice coming from outside of me?
Awan: To visit your plane of existence, I have to travel down many frequencies. I despise visiting your frequency. It is very dense, because so much ignorance abounds. As I lower my frequency, the medium raises his. The medium’s spiritual (etheric) body vacates his physical body and hovers nearby. I then step into the medium’s body and use his vocal cords to speak to you.
Since my spiritual body vibrates at a higher rate than the spiritual body of the medium, my increased speed of vibration taxes his mind and physical body. That’s why he’s so tired after he has been in a deep trance. This is a very simplistic explanation. A thorough explanation would be much more complex.
Sidney: Awan, please tell me more about the Kingdom of God.
Awan: Before you can understand the world I live in, you have to learn new concepts. Be patient. By the end of this conversation, you should understand. I have lived many lifetimes and in many places. The place I originally came from, and enjoy revisiting, is located in what became known as the Plains of Sharon. It is on the beach, close to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. It is my favorite place, and is now known as Joppa. When I lived there, the climate was different than it is today. It was a tropical paradise then, not a desert.…
