Removing Religious Filters

Opening Remarks

Good afternoon, my friends.

It is again a pleasure for me to be here to share some thoughts with you at this time of new beginnings. I would like to share some thoughts that have been on my mind as I’ve been watching you. I’d like you to consider going out for a ten-mile walk. You have set yourself a goal to walk five miles away from your home and five miles back. However, you have to put on your walking shoes, but these walking shoes aren’t typical; they’re special. These walking shoes have a 10-pound dumbbell built into them. So that every time you take a step, you’re picking up 10 pounds. Think about how exhausting that walk would be, to walk ten miles with these weights in your shoes. It would not be an easy thing to do. You would get exhausted, and you might decide to give up on your goal and not walk the ten miles because it’s just too difficult. Now, while you may think this is an absurd thought, why would anybody put 10 pounds in each shoe? I want you to consider this.

Many years ago, you entered this physical world as a brand-new baby, unaware of the ways of the physical world and unable to speak. However, you still maintained connections with the World of Spirit, even though you were in a physical body. Infants often have connections; they still see Spirit people and hear them. They eventually learn to ignore them because, in their physical world, their physical parents do not engage in this type of communication, and therefore it is not reinforced or encouraged. But what is the child taught? Most of the time, they’re taught the beliefs of their parents. Most of the time, they’re trained in the religious beliefs of the parents and in the ideology of that religion. The ideology that is learned in childhood and that continues through a person’s life is very much like that 10-pound weight in your shoes. It limits you. It limits your possibilities, as your range of thought is confined within specific limits set by the religion.

You heard the medium who I am speaking through talk about filters. Placing a blue filter in front of a camera’s lens alters the image as it is recorded on film or in digital form today. The picture would not appear in its natural state; the blue filter would make it look very blue, changing your perception of the image. Religion has placed the blue filter upon your consciousness, and because you have experienced religion’s blue filter all your life, you do not see the blue; you are unaware of the actual colors of the image.

What I am trying to express to you is that within your consciousness, there are many, many weighted shoes on different topics that you do not realize are in your consciousness, which limits you. So that even when you come to the realization that religions have not been teaching the truth, and that you are learning new truths to replace what you used to believe, there is still much residue that is there. There are still things that you haven’t realized have been deeply rooted in your thinking, which were placed in your consciousness by the religious filter, and still carry some extra weight. What I am trying to convey to you is that releasing yourself from the religious dogmas, superstitions, and stories of the past is not a process that can be accomplished by simply snapping your fingers. It is a long and constant process of you discovering: “Oh, I still think this.” Then you can remove that weight from your shoe, allowing you to walk more freely with every step. It is a process for you to think about. And you need to repeat the process regularly.

You’ve all made tremendous changes in your lives since learning the truth about the Spirit World and the principles of Spirit communication. And you understand the chains of religions, how they have chained people to ignorance, and have prevented them from having access to the Knowledge that’s within the Spirit World. What I am saying to you is that unconsciously, there’s still residue, and becoming aware of the fact that the residue is there is the first step for allowing that residue to float to the surface so that you can become aware of the baggage that is still within your consciousness, so that you can release it at some point. And each time you release that piece of weight, that 10-pound dumbbell, each time you release it. You can walk more freely on your path of truth.

I hope you can understand what I am trying to say. There is a residue of religious dogma within your consciousness, and most likely, you are unaware that it is still lingering there, weighing you down. There are tinges of the dogma still there. It’s not the hundred-pound weight as it was years ago, but there’s still weight that needs to be removed. So, think about that, meditate on it, and ask for this to come to the surface of your consciousness so that you can begin to remove it. You will be able to express spiritual truths with much greater freedom, and you will feel the energy of that truth much stronger than you ever have before, once all the weight is lifted from your shoes. I hope you understand that.

Closing Remarks

It has been a pleasure speaking with you.

We find it quite amusing that the same thread I began discussing kept resurfacing during the answers to the questions. So, again, we ask that you try to eliminate as much of the baggage you’re carrying as possible. And to sit in the power as much as you can. Now I’m not saying for hours. What I’m saying is that, even if it’s just five minutes a day, it’s beneficial to do it regularly. Fifteen minutes would be even better. We’re not saying to sit for an hour or two; that’s asking way too much of your busy, hectic schedules. However, doing it daily has numerous very positive qualities, and it doesn’t have to be for long periods of time. That is what we’re trying to get across to you. So, with that being restated, we are about to withdraw. It has been a pleasure to assist you. It’s great to be in touch with all of you and to meet new people who have crossed our path.

We welcome you and hope that you will continue to join us. As you continue on your path of enlightenment, we wish that your shoes become ever lighter each day.

So be it.
