Edgar Cayce's Gravesite

Riverside Cemetery, Hopkinsville, Kentucky

03.Grave Tombstone

Edgar Cayce was born in 1877 in Christian County, Kentucky. Edgar left school in the 9th grade because his parents could no longer afford his education.

Cayce became famous for his mediumistic work. He was a trance medium labeled the sleeping prophet since he would lie on a couch and appear to sleep. He spoke in his trance state, giving remedies for illnesses and prophetic readings.

Edgar Cayce was secretly summoned to the White House, where he gave a reading to President Wilson, who was in his wheelchair. Mrs. Wilson was present. Cayce predicted that Wilson would not recover from his stroke and would not have long to live. Cayce was sworn to secrecy about his reading for President Wilson.

Fortunately, transcripts of Edgar Cayce’s readings can be obtained at the Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach, VA.
