Charles H. Foster

Medium

Portrait of a man in a circular frame.

On July 28, 1872, an unnamed reporter from The New York Times interviewed Charles Foster. From that article, I learned that Charles Foster, like many other 20th and 21st-century mediums, had overbooked himself by scheduling several seances in one day without allowing enough time to rest between each session.

Foster was a natural-born medium. Early in his childhood, Foster experienced spirit rappings. Although he didn't understand these spontaneous noises, they did not scare him.

Charles Foster had the gift of clairaudience and dreams.
