From that article, I learned that Charles Foster, like many other 20^th and 21st-century mediums, had overbooked himself by scheduling several seances in one day without allowing enough time to rest between each session.

Foster was a natural-born medium. Early in his childhood, Foster experienced spirit rappings. Although he didn't understand these spontaneous noises, they did not scare him.
